Dynasty Combat Sports debuts their first ever grappling event January 6th at New Years Knockout. The event will be the first of hopefully 4 in 2018. The grappling events will be in the morning while MMA events highlight the night time activities.
The tournament will be a submission only event for Adults 18+ years old. Rules are available at www.facebook.com/
Weigh ins will be at the venue from 9 AM to 10:30 AM on January 6th. Contestants will be given a 3 lbs allowance. Depending on the number of contestants signed up some divisions may be combined on competition day. At 10:30 AM there will be a short rules meeting with the No Gi competition beginning soon after. Superfights will take place at the end of the No Gi portion with the Gi portion directly following the conclusion of the superfights.
Matches will be 10 mins with a winner being declared after the first submission. In the event there is no submission in the 10 min, the winner will be declared based on number of close submissions in regulation (referees discretion). If there is still not a winner sudden victory overtime will begin with the winner being the first to score a takedown.
Legal submissions and moves follow IBJJF rules for White and Blue Belts, for purple and above all leg submissions are legal. All neck cranks and spinal locks are ILLEGAL at all belts. If you do not have a belt rank in Jiu Jitsu please follow the guidelines below
White Belt or <2 Years Experience
Blue Belt or <6 Years Experience
Purple Belt and above 6+ Years Experience
Previous College Wrestling experience must go to Blue Belt or above (includes NAIA, JUCO, NCAA DI DII or DII)
Black Belts in Judo must go Blue Belt or above
Pro MMA Fighters must go Blue Belt or above
